Kickbutt Amped Energy Ballz #37 Ford Debuts at Richmond

Graham and Kickbutt Amped Energy Ballz Team Night Ends Early

Richmond, VA (September 7, 2007)…It was a one day show for the NASCAR Busch Series teams at Richmond International Raceway with practice, qualifying, and racing action all occurring on Friday.  This weekend marked Kickbutt Amped Energy Ballz’ first weekend to be the primary sponsor on the #37 Ford Fusion and John Graham’s first race in a Brewco Motorsports built car.

Unfortunately, the night ended earlier than expected for the The Kickbutt Amped Energy Ballz team when the #37 car was tagged from behind during the Emerson Radio 250 at Richmond International Raceway.

Graham knew the race was going to be extremely competitive with a heavily weighted field of Nextel Cup drivers. Therefore, the goal for the night was to simply finish the race running with the car in one piece.  Everything was going as planned for the first portion of the race; Graham was making laps and getting a good feel for his racecar.  The caution flag waved on lap 11 and crew chief, Stewart Cooper brought the #37 Kickbutt Amped Energy Ballz Ford down pit road for adjustments.  Graham would pit again when the caution flew on lap 37 for additional adjustments that would make him more comfortable driving the car.  The #37 pit crew had impressive pit stops as they quickly made adjustments to the car.

Unfortunately, the next caution flag would be brought out when the #37 Kickbutt Amped Energy Ballz Ford, while running in the low groove, was hit from behind by the #42 car sending the car into the wall.  Stewart Cooper radioed, “Let’s go behind the wall guys.”  After looking at the damage to the rear of the car the team decided there was too much damage to repair the car and get it back on track.

The next race for John Graham and the Kickbutt Amped Energy Ballz team will be the RoadLoans 250 at Dover International Speedway on Saturday, June 22nd.  Race time is 3:30 EST and will be broadcast live on ESPN2.

Quotes from John Graham
“I want to thank the guys at Brewco Motorsports for their hard work in putting together a good car this weekend.  The Kickbutt Amped Energy Ballz Ford was getting better on the track as the night went on before we were tagged from behind ending our night.  I want to especially thank Fun Energy Foods for sponsoring the Kickbutt Amped Energy Ballz Ford and Brewco Motorsports for all of their efforts this weekend.”
