Cleveland, OH (May 15, 2006) – Cub Cadet has officially entered into the NASCAR family with a limited schedule primary sponsorship of the Brewco Motorsports No. 66 Ford Fusion in the NASCAR Busch Series.
During the ’06 season, the Cub Cadet Ford will race in a minimum of six races in the Busch series, with Greg Biffle behind the wheel for the majority of races. The No. 66 Ford will run at Nashville, Kentucky, Chicago, Martinsville, Watkins Glen, and Michigan.
“Joining the NASCAR family and the Brewco Motorsports team aligns Cub Cadet with an exciting sport, a winning race team and a talented driver,” said Tim Coughlin, National Sales and Marketing Manager of MTD Products, Inc. “Cub Cadet is a category leader with a brand that stands for superior design, innovative engineering and outstanding performance – three attributes synonymous with NASCAR and Brewco Motorsports.”
Cub Cadet is developing a fully-integrated marketing program to support and extend the partnership including local-market philanthropic endeavors. To kick-off the partnership, Greg Biffle conducted a “military mow” for a Charlotte-area National Guardsman, Sergeant Michael Scaglione, and his family. The Cub Cadet racing team will conduct similar events in select Busch Series race markets.
To bring the excitement of NASCAR to its customers, Cub Cadet has created specially designed racing simulators that will be crossing the country making pit stops at dealer stores.
“Having Cub Cadet as a team sponsor is very exciting for Brewco and everyone associated with the No. 66 team,” said Matt Crews, sponsor relations, Brewco Motorsports. “We look forward to the growth and success of this team.”
Driver Greg Biffle added, “I am looking forward to driving for Brewco Motorsports and Cub Cadet this season. The No. 66 team should have a great year and I’m excited to be part of it.”
