Federated Auto Parts to Sponsor Brewco Rookie Brad Coleman
Will make Series debut on April 15 in Nashville
Nashville, Tenn. (April 10, 2006) - Federated Auto Parts has announced its primary sponsorship of Brewco Motorsports Inc. rookie driver Brad Coleman for the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series and ARCA RE/MAX Series seasons. Federated will serve as the primary sponsor of the Brewco entry in the April 15th PFG Lester 150 at Nashville Superspeedway and the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 Presented by Federated Auto Parts on April 23 at Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana.
Federated will also serve as a major associate sponsor on Coleman’s car for the remaining 7 ARCA RE/MAX Series events and 7 NASCAR Busch Series events in which Coleman will compete during the 2006 race season .
“Brewco Motorsports is proud to expand our already successful relationship with Federated Auto Parts,” said team owner Clarence Brewer Jr. Federated is serving as a full-time associate sponsor on both of Brewco’s NASCAR Busch Series cars (No. 27 and No. 66) in 2006 and will service as the primary sponsor of the No. 27 car during the Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway on June 10.
“We are excited about having Brad Coleman as our driver in both the NASCAR Busch Series and ARCA RE/MAX Series,” Brewer continued. “We recognize Brad as an extremely talented young driver with the ability to be successful in our sport.”
Coleman has already been impressive on the track this year, with a strong showing in a recent test session at Nashville Speedway, where he was sixth quickest among the 55 drivers testing. Coleman also tested at Salem Speedway and ran times comparable to that of NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Ken Schrader, who also participated in the test session. Schrader has a longstanding relationship with Federated Auto Parts, acting as a Federated spokesperson through a variety of series in which he participates.
“Federated Auto Parts is proud to sponsor Brad in his ARCA RE/MAX Series debut and his launch into the ranks of NASCAR,” said Gene Jeffries, president of Federated Auto Parts. “Brewco has proven itself as a championship organization both on and off the track and Brad has shown enormous potential as a race car driver. Federated is excited to be partnering with Brad and Brewco for the 2006 season.”
In addition to Nashville and Salem, Coleman will pilot the Brewco entry in the following ARCA RE/MAX Series races:
May 13, 2006: Kentucky Speedway
May 21, 2006 - Toledo Speedway
June 16, 2006 - Michigan International Speedway
July 1, 2006 - Kansas Speedway
July 7, 2006 - Kentucky Speedway
July 28, 2006 - Gateway International Raceway
August 18, 2006 - Michigan International Speedway
Brewco Motorsports announced in mid-December, 2005, the signing of Coleman to a NASCAR driver development contract for 2006. Coleman, who turned 18 just a few days after the 2006 season-opening ARCA 200 in Daytona, is already a record-setting young driver with a wealth of stock car, sports car, and open-wheel experience. In 2005 he won the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Rookie Points Championship in his first season of late model stock car racing at Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, NC, set a World Record by finishing 7th in the Rolex 24 of Daytona in a Porsche GT3 Cup car at 16 years-old, and posted a Top 10 finish in a Daytona Prototype in a Grand American Series race this past fall.
