Post 15th
Top-Five
Finish of
Season
AVONDALE,
AZ
(November
12) -
Having
started 20th
and
spinning
on lap
thirty en
route to a
win
earlier
this year
at Phoenix
International
Raceway,
Greg
Biffle
knows the
path to
victory
lane does
not come
easy at
the
1.0-mile
tri-oval.
Despite
his best
efforts, a
repeat
performance
was not
meant to
be as,
Biffle,
driver of
the #66
Duraflame
Ford,
started 7th
and
finished 5th
in this
weekend's
Phoenix
200.
Biffle,
who was
making his
26th
start of
the season
for
Kentucky
based
Brewco
Motorsports,
moved from
11th
to 10th
in NASCAR
Busch
Series
drivers'
standings.
Team
Brewco #66
remains 5th
in NBS
Owners'
standings.
"It was a
really
tough day
for me. I
didn't
quite get
the setup
right in
practice
and the
car was
really,
really
tight
getting
into the
corner. I
couldn't
do
anything
getting
in, so I
had to
free it
up. It
was so
loose that
I couldn't
really get
the gas
down, but
it was
just one
of those
days. I
didn't
have it
exactly
how I
wanted it,
but a
top-five
with the
pit crew,
they gave
me an
awesome
stop there
at the end
for track
position,"
Biffle
added
after
posting
his 15th
top-five
finish of
the
season.
Crew chief
Newt Moore
added,
"You know,
we had the
car where
we wanted
it during
practice
and had a
pretty
good
showing in
qualifying,
but for
one reason
or another
we were
super-tight
at the
start of
the race.
We made
some
pretty
major
adjustments,
and might
have gone
a little
too far.
I know it
wasn't
very much
fun for
Greg out
there. He
definitely
had his
hands full
today. He
did an
awesome
job
holding
onto that
car, and
with some
good pit
stops we
were able
to salvage
a
top-five.
All-in-all,
not a bad
day."
Next up,
Team
Brewco
heads to
Homestead-Miami
Speedway
for the
Ford 300
on
Saturday,
November
19th.
NBC and
MRN will
provide
live
coverage
of the
event
beginning
at 4:00pm
