Brewco
Motorsports and the
United States Postal
Service Team Up to
Promote Child Health
CENTRAL CITY, KY
(October 3, 2005)
--- Brewco
Motorsports, Inc.
announced today a
joint promotional
opportunity with the
United States Postal
Service for the
month of October.
In an effort to
raise awareness for
Child Health, Team
Brewco will outfit
their fleet of
racecars with the
newly issued "Child
Health"
commemorative
postage stamp,
beginning this
weekend at Kansas
Speedway.
The
promotion comes at
an appropriate time
as the first Monday
in October is
designated as Child
Health Day and the
year 2005 is
designated "The Year
of the Healthy
Child" by the
Surgeon General.
The
37-cent social
awareness stamp,
which will be
prominently
displayed on the
cars of Brewco
drivers David Green,
Greg Biffle, and
Aaron Fike, was
designed to remind
Americans that
regular medical
checks, proper use
of car seats, a
balanced diet, and
regular exercise are
key to ensuring a
healthy child's
future.
Current NASCAR
Nextel Cup "Chase
for the
Championship"
contender and driver
of the #66 Team
Brewco Ford in the
NASCAR Busch Series,
Greg Biffle said,
"Nothing is more
important than
promoting a healthy
lifestyle for
children. I am
truly honored to be
a part of this
special promotion.
As a child, I was
fortunate to live an
active lifestyle,
one that to this day
carries a lot of
weight in my
day-to-day routine."
2003
Kansas Speedway
winner and driver of
the #27 Kleenex® /
Brewco Ford, David
Green, stated, "As a
father, I have
quickly come to
realize the
importance of
promoting a healthy
lifestyle. We as
parents, and more
importantly as
adults, have a
certain amount of
responsibility to
ensure that our
children our
healthy. This is a
fantastic
opportunity to get
the message out in a
unique and appealing
manner."
Twenty-two year old,
Aaron Fike will
carry the Child
Health stamp on the
hood of his #43 Ford
Taurus this weekend
at Kansas Speedway.
"Participating in
one of the most
competitive sports
in the world, I have
first hand knowledge
of how important a
healthy lifestyle
can be. As one of
the youngest drivers
in NASCAR, this
promotion is
extra special to
me."
Designed by art
director Carl T.
Herrman and stamp
artist Craig
Frazier, the Child
Health stamp
features a
silhouette of a
health care provider
placing a
stethoscope on a
child's chest,
demonstrating that
healthy habits and
good health care for
children today
means, quite
literally, "caring
for our future."
Be sure to catch all
of the racing action
live from Kansas
Speedway on
Saturday, October 8th.
