Jorge Goeters on Racing in Mexico:

First of all I want to thank all of the press for their amazing support and coverage.  This event is very exciting for all of us.  Not only is this an opportunity to showcase our drivers, but it has been a great way to show the world what our country is all about.  I would not be here today without the support of my sponsors: Canel's, Comex, Scotiabank Inverlat, and Ford Racing, and most importantly my family. I am thrilled to have joined the NASCAR family today and cannot express to you how much this event means to me and my country.  I have always dreamed about racing in NASCAR, and now I finally have the chance.  My fellow competitors have welcomed me with open arms, and have been an invaluable resource.  I hope this is the sign of things to come.

Jorge Goeters on Winning the Busch Pole Award:

Obviously, this is very, very exciting.  I must thank my team.  Clarence Brewer (team owner) and Newt Moore (crew chief) took a chance on me, and I owe them a lot. We have been working for this for the past few weeks, and really felt like we had a shot to win the pole.  I can't say that the lap was perfect as I was a little loose in the corners.  I just tried to be as smooth and careful as possible.  I didn't even know the lap was that good until my team told me, "You did it, you are the man."  This is the best feeling in the world, and it's twice as special to do it in front on my hometown crowd.  Today's environment was electric.  I'm going to have a hard time sleeping tonight.

Jorge Goeters on NASCAR Racing:

I had never driven a car this heavy until a few weeks ago, but was able to adjust pretty quickly.  We had a very good test session in the US a few weeks ago, and felt like we were going to be competitive here.  These cars are a lot of fun to drive and the competition makes it ever more exciting.  Winning the pole is only part of what we set out to accomplish.  I think we have a really good shot at winning the race tomorrow.

Jorge Goeters on Sunday's NASCAR Busch Series Race:

I am very excited for tomorrow's race.  There are a lot of very talented drivers in the field, but hopefully running in the Desafio Corona race today will give me a little advantage on Sunday.  Track position is essential at a race like this, and there's no better place to start than up front.  I have a great team behind me, and I know that I have a car capable of winning the race.  The fans and the press are in for a treat.
