David Green Visits the Opry
Nashville, TN
(March 25) -
Nashville is best
known for two things: NASCAR
racing, and country music. While
there this past weekend, David
Green, driver of the #27 Kleenex®
Ford, was able to enjoy the best
of both worlds. There to drive in
the Pepsi 300 Busch Series Race at
the Nashville Superspeedway, David
Green went to enjoy some of the
genuine sounds of the Grand Ole
Opry’s legendary performers after
practice on Friday. Attending the
show back stage, David was able to
kick back, and hang out with some
of the Opry’s most notable stars
such as Ricky Skaggs, members of
the Joe Diffie Band, and the
legendary Little Jimmy Dickens.
Fascinated with each others
extraordinary lives, David wanted
to talk country music, and they
wanted to talk racing. It was a
great time for everyone explains
David Green. “Backstage was
filled with an atmosphere of good
friends and fun times. Everyone
was so laid back and friendly. I
really think country musicians and
racecar drivers have a lot in
common in that sense. We travel
to so many remarkable cities, and
I think it’s really important to
experience some of it. I’m a huge
fan of country music and I’ll
always remember this day.”
