The media were invited to join Ravenswood Winery and Brewco Motorsports as they unveiled the new paint scheme for Brewco’s No. 27 NASCAR Busch Series car on April 8 at Texas Motor Speedway. The unveiling took place during a press conference that inclided Jeffrey Lubin, Marketing Director for Ravenswood Winery; Matt Crews, Sponsor Relations, Brewco Motorsports; and David Green, driver of the No. 27 Brewco Ford Fusion.
In January this year, Ravenswood announced its partnership with Brewco, which involves primary sponsorship on the No. 27 car for three races: the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway on April 21; the Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International Speedway on August 12; and the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 25. Ravenswood will also serve as an associate sponsor on Brewco’s No. 66 Busch Series car in the remaining 2006 races. This is Ravenswood Winery’s first NASCAR team sponsorship.
“We are ecstatic to be involved Brewco Motorsports and sponsoring the No. 27 NASCAR Busch Series team,” said Lubin. “We anticipate the overwhelming loyalty of the NASCAR community to help us grow our business in 2006.”
Ravenswood partnered with SSG/Brandintense of Archdale, North Carolina, to bring this sponsorship to fruition. SSG/Brandintense will activate a mobile marketing campaign at nationwide events and in select NASCAR race markets to support the Ravenswood sponsorship.
About Ravenswood Winery
For as long as anybody cares to remember, this has been the credo (Calling card? Battle cry? Team yell? Coat of arms?) of Ravenswood Winery in Sonoma, California. Expressing our commitment to full-flavored varietal wine — notably Zinfandel — it sums up our mission to capture everything a vineyard has to offer, and to promote it in a way that won't put people to sleep. Wine is, after all, one of the most fascinating and fun things in life, which is why Ravenswood winemaker Joel Peterson believes that it belongs on the table — not on a pedestal or in an ivory tower.
