Building the Future: Mobile STEM Lab for Manhattan Area Technical College

Last month brought one of our most exciting projects to completion: a custom-built Mobile STEM Lab for Manhattan Area Technical College, the #1 ranked community college in the nation. This wasn’t just another build—it was a chance to create something that will impact education for years to come.

Starting with a 32-foot double-expandable bumper-pull trailer, our team transformed it into a fully functional mobile classroom. The flexible interior layout supports hands-on STEM training, giving students throughout the Manhattan, Kansas region access to interactive learning experiences no matter where they are.

What makes this project special is how it solves a real challenge. Not every student can easily get to campus, and not every community has access to cutting-edge STEM resources. This mobile lab changes that equation. It’s compact, easy to maneuver, and can be deployed almost anywhere. The quick setup means instructors and campus staff can get it running efficiently, focusing on teaching instead of logistics.

We love these kinds of challenges at Brewco—taking a vision and engineering it into reality. Sure, we build stages for country music festivals and food trailers for NFL tailgates. But we also build mobile classrooms that expand educational opportunities and help shape the next generation.
