Summary

Brewco Marketing Group designed and built a custom 49’ Quad Expandable trailer tailored towards STEM and Educational Engineering experiences for Rio Hondo Independent School District (RHISD).

The Challenge

In 2023, the Rio Hondo Independent School District (RHISD) sought to purchase a Mobile Training Unit for educational engineering education to serve its three (3) campuses and approximately 1,730 students across Cameron County, TX.

The Solution

BMG designed, fabricated, and delivered a 49’ quad expandable trailer with custom-developed augmented reality experiences through Microsoft’s Hololens package. The unit also featured two (2) 3D printers, sixteen (16) workstations with computers, AV equipment, chemically resistant countertops, and more.

The highlight of the unit is its complete solar package, which capitalizes on the Texas weather. The solar power array includes twenty (20) 200W roof-mounted solar panels, two (2) 48V battery banks, a remote control module, temperature sensors, and a generator auto start/stop feature.
